Writing. The importance of the past in our lives. WAS/WERE

 Hi all,

Today we saw in the classroom that it is really important to express our ideas in a clear way. And as I explained to you, it is really important to use the correct verb tense, so that we can express what we did in the past, what we do in the present and what we are going to do in the future.

So, I have prepared for you one very simple exercise about the most important verb in English, the verb TO BE in the past. Just remember we can use the verb to be to express simple ideas (I was born in Spain), but it can also be used in more complex expressions (There was a party last night in my house).

If you click in the link bellow, you will find more material to review what we learnt in the classroom.

Good luck.

Was/Were

Once you have finished this review, it is time to put into practice what you have learnt. I ask you to write about what there was / wasn´t in you home town some years ago. In this way, you can  practise constructions such as "There were manu people in my home town".. Once you finish your writing, hand it to me in the class. Enjoy.
